Riker Hill Robotics

FLL Explore is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids through fun, exciting hands-on learning.  Kids will learn the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education LEGO SPIKE Essentials.  Students learn science concepts, apply them in a Lego model, describe it in a poster and demonstrate the model at an annual Expo held at the Dome.

Join a TEKi First Lego League Explore Team!

What is the challenge this year?  

The current FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) season theme is BIOGLOW™. Part of the broader FIRST CANOPY cross-program initiative, this theme focuses heavily on biodiversity. 

Participants at the FLL Explore Expo will build and code interactive LEGO models exploring how technology, creativity, and research can protect natural habitats. 

 

What is the commitment?  2nd-4th graders will join a team of 6-8 students that meets weekly on Fridays or given date. 4:30-5:45pm, October-January at TEKI, @ the Florham Park Sports Dome.  The cost is $400 per student, which includes all materials and FLL team registration.  A percentage of tuition is donated to the schools PTA/HSA.

At the conclusion of the enrichment we participate in the TEKI FLL EXPO, JANUARY 2027.  Students will display and explain their model and present to the FLL judges.
