About the Course

Description:
In this afterschool enrichment program, students will explore the world of coding and game creation through imagination, design, and new technology. CodeCraft Studios is divided into two tracks tailored to different age groups to ensure an engaging, age-appropriate learning experience for every young creator.
Track 1: Junior Creators (Grades K–3)
Our youngest innovators will be introduced to the fundamentals of coding and interactive design through playful, hands-on activities. Using beginner-friendly platforms such as Scratch Jr. and Tynker, students will learn how to create simple games, animations, and digital stories that reflect their creativity. Emphasis is placed on curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration, helping students build confidence as they explore how coding brings ideas to life.

Track 2: Emerging Designers (Grades 4–8)
Older students will take their creativity to the next level by designing more advanced games and interactive experiences using platforms like Scratch, Roblox Studio, and other design tools. Participants will learn coding logic, character design, and level creation while experimenting with visual storytelling and emerging digital technologies. The focus is on merging artistic creativity with technical skill, empowering students to think like designers, programmers, and innovators.
Across both tracks, students will complete a digital portfolio piece that showcases their creativity and growing proficiency in coding and game design.
