FLL Monday Robotics (Grades 2-4)-Deerfield

12 Weeks (No Class 10/31-12/26, 1/2)

About the Course

What is it? FLL Explore is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids aged 6 to 10 through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Kids will learn the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0. Students learn science concepts, apply them in a Lego model, describe it in a poster and demonstrate the model at an annual Expo. For more information, visit First Lego League.

What is the commitment? 2nd-4th graders will join a team of 5-6 students that meets weekly at TEKI, a STEM center located at the Florham Park Sports Dome. TEKI will be hosting and staffing the weekly sessions. The cost is $475/student which includes all materials and FLL team registration. Students will then present and showcase their work at the FLL Explore Expo.

Want to get involved? TEKI invites any interested parent to join TEKI’s coaches in guiding your child’s team. If you’d like to volunteer, please contact Howard Weinrib (hweinrib@theteki.com, 917-940-4711).

How can we help your PTA/HAS/PTO? A percentage of the tuition is returned to the school to help out in their fundraising efforts. There will also be a large opportunity for a fundraiser at the conclusion of our class at our Expo.
